Creating satisfyingly hearty foods for shoot entertaining is some of the most enjoyable catering we do at Scrumptious. We prepare deliciously warming pies, juicy joints of meat, mouth watering slow cooked dishes, imaginative vegetable recipes and traditional puddings using the best of what is available in the autumn and winter seasons. Of course, in addition to that there is the delight of using the game sourced from the estate. We have an exciting range of tried and tested game recipes that ensure the produce is served in the best way possible. As a family we experiment with new recipes too which may appear on your menus if we vote highly for the dishes!

Depending on your needs, the facilities on the estate and the style of catering you require we tailor make a shoot package to suit. We may come to your estate for the whole day for example. Starting by serving the morning refreshments, then spending the morning preparing a 'scrumptious' meal ready to serve when the guns return at lunchtime to then finish the day with tea and homemade cake. Another option is for the team to prepare the entire menu at the Scrumptious premises ready to cook and serve in the gun room. We also deliver complete packages ready to be heated and served if looking after the guns is something you have always enjoyed doing.

Depending on your requirements, our foods can be prepared and presented with more of a rustic and traditional style. Instead you might rather enjoy more of a fine dining experience. At Scrumptious we can confidently cater for both. We use our lengthy experience of shoot catering and our love of both cooking and eating game to create dishes that have interesting flavours, that can withstand changes to the dining schedule and are popular with both male and female guns. We are pleased to cater for breakfasts, morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. We are happy to travel to estates throughout the country and stay on site too.

Picnics
When the British weather permits, a picnic is so enjoyable. We can create a wonderful hamper of treats that would suit an afternoon with the family at a National Trust venue, an open air summer concert with friends or a day at the races for example. We are proud of the different foods we have designed for our picnics. We have an endless supply of ideas that can fulfil the need for easy to grab finger foods or fork buffet items for when relaxed grazing is planned. We encourage our clients to create their bespoke menu from our list if individually priced foods. Some clients enjoy a complete picnic whilst others reap the benefits of enjoying a bit of their own cooking combined with a bit of help from Scrumptious. We like the majority of your picnic to consist of homemade foods but we do list a selection of locally produced drinks, crisps, cheeses, olives, dressings and condiments for you to choose from. We can provide any alcohol on request.
We can deliver the picnic to your home, carefully packed to remain chilled for the journey. We can provide high quality disposable crockery, cutlery, 'glasses', tablecloths or napkins too.

Many of our clients enjoy attending a horse trials or rural shows as a visitor or competitor. We recommend our picnics as we can create a package that will suit an 'on route' picnic, a picnic that needs to be carried some distance or a picnic that can enjoyed in the horsebox, with items that may be served hot perhaps.
